This is Gwendolyn's delicious version of a traditional French cake that is served during the Holidays. Three layers of Valrhona French chocolate cake are filled with a soft orange zest and Cointreau buttercream with layers of Callebaut Belgian chocolate ganache. Covered in more orange zest-Cointreau buttercream and frosted with Callebaut Belgian chocolate in a way to resemble the classic bûche. Topped with dollops of cream and festive garland.1

Beautifully Packaged

All of our desserts are boxed and bowed in Gwendolyn's signature pink and gold cake box, wrapped with her Cake Bake Shop pink and gold satin ribbon. Each cake is carefully wrapped and packaged in her custom Cake Bake Shop pink shipping box. When it arrives on your doorstep or if it is sent as a gift to someone you love, the pink decorated box is sure to bring some sweetness to your day.


Care Instructions

Receiving Instructions

  • Remove wrapped cake from styrofoam container.
  • Remove and discard all bubble wrap.
  • Open the windowed Cake Bake Shop box and remove the cake.
  • Remove and discard all protective packaging from the cake until it is completely exposed.
  • Place cake back into the windowed Cake Bake Shop box for storage.

Thawing Instructions

  • Before serving your Bûche de Noël Cake, let it sit at room temperature for 6-8 hours or overnight.

Serving Instructions

  • Using a large knife, place the tip in the center of the cake and push down all the way through the bottom layer.
  • Use a knife or serving spatula to lift slices out of the cake, gently lifting and sliding at the same time.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Storing Instructions

  • Place your cake back into the windowed Cake Bake Shop box and it will keep for up to 4 days at room temperature. Do not refrigerate as it tends to dry the cake layers.
  • To freeze, place your cake back into the windowed Cake Bake Shop box and seal tightly with plastic wrap. Note: Shelf life of frozen cakes is no more than 3 months.
  • Follow thawing and serving instructions before consumptions.
