Splurging At The Cake Bake Shop Is The Best Thing To Do Near The New Hotel Carmichael

Splurge at Cake Bake

Few places make its guests feel like royalty quite like Cake Bake Shop does. Originally located in Broad Ripple, owner Gwendolyn Rogers opened a second larger high end shop in Carmel's City Center, steps from Hotel Carmichael, about a year and a half ago.

Chandeliers hang from the ceiling and silk roses decorate the tables and some walls. At Christmas time, the shop is even more magical with Christmas trees lining the Cake Bake's exterior. It's a dream for social media influencers.

The star of the show is the multi-tier decadent slices of cake that are large enough to feed two or three people. Gwendolyn's Famous Earl's Court Chocolate Cake is a favorite, but she also offers other options depending on the season, like carrot cake and raspberry champagne cake.

All are displayed in the bakery up front. There's other desserts displayed as well, most covered with sparkles. The alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks on the menu are just as beautiful.

Cake Bake offers more than sweets: the menu has sandwiches, quiche and the sort of entrees you'd expect at a high-end restaurant. There's also a kids menu for those visiting with their kiddos.

But of course, hotel guests can always just pop in to take a slice of cake to go.
