In this deliciously sweet episode of WDW Radio, I had the incredible opportunity to visit Disney’s newest culinary destination – The Cake Bake Shop on Disney’s Boardwalk. Joined by the visionary entrepreneur behind this magical establishment, Gwendolyn Rogers, and my friend Ashley Eckstein (the voice of Ahsoka Tano from Star Wars The Clone Wars, and the Founder of Her Universe), we took an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of the entire restaurant, bar, bakery, and even uncovered some delightful hidden details you won’t want to miss!

Gwendolyn Rogers shared the remarkable story of transforming her lifelong dream into reality right in the heart of Disney World. Her journey is as inspiring as it is fascinating—from humble beginnings to creating one of Disney’s most stunning and sophisticated culinary experiences.

And yes—we tasted cake. Lots of cake. Raspberry Champagne Cake, Mint Chocolate Chip Cake (Oprah’s favorite!), and the indulgent Cookie Dough Cake were just a few of the delights that showcased Gwen’s commitment to storytelling through baking. Ashley Eckstein, founder of Her Universe and a huge Disney fan herself, joined us to share in the sweet celebration and add her own magical insights.
